An invitation to Volunteer

Why volunteer?  When you volunteer, you help make a positive difference in the lives of other people.  But did you know that it also improves your own mental and physical health?  It can help reduce stress, depression, keep you motivated, and provide you with a sense of purpose.

Taking on a volunteer job need not be a long-term or even regular commitment. We often need helping hands for a single event, or a single project. Or it might be for a short term to replace a regular volunteer who needs to be away, say for a few weeks or months.

Volunteering comes from your heart. It is a way to give back to your community and help it thrive.

If you are inspired to lend a helping hand at the Centre, we invite you to fill in the Volunteer Application Form (below) and return it to us. You can download it, then print it, and fill it out and mail it in.  Or you can scan in the completed form and email it to volunteers.scca@gmail.com.  We will get back to you very soon!

Thank you so much for your interest!

“Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve.

You don’t have to have a college degree to serve.

You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve.

You don’t have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve.

You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love.

– Martin Luther King, Jr.
