🎷 Jazz That Really Rocks—TNJB Live in Summerland!
The Summerland Community Centre (9710 Brown Street) is pleased to welcome the Thursday Night Jazz Band (TNJB) for a special fundraising concert on Friday, October 24 at 7:30 p.m.
TNJB is a classic 17-piece big band featuring 5 saxophones, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, a full rhythm section (drums, piano, guitar, keyboards), and some talented vocalists. Â
🎶 A Rich Musical Journey Formed over 30 years ago by a group of music teachers and friends, TNJB has grown into a vibrant ensemble of professional and amateur musicians who share a love of performing and giving back. In recent years, the band has raised more than $25,000 for local causes, making great music with a great purpose. TNJB’s repertoire spans decades, from standards of the swing era of the 1940s to the horn-driven sounds of the 1970s where you can expect a mix of jazz-rock fusion, funk, Motown, and more!  The music is upbeat, well-arranged, and perfect for toe-tapping or dancing. It’s a fun, cabaret-style evening that promises great entertainment.
